GOD WILL PROVIDE JAPAN
MISSIONARIES IN JAPAN
We are grateful to the Lord for stirring young hearts to step out of their comfort zone and serve others. We have Vera from Washington, Diana from California, Slavick from Ohio, Karina from Colorado and Viktor from New Jersey!
Great news! Karina is added to the team flying to Japan. God is faithful! Please support in prayer this team of young missionaries!
ABOUT MINISTRY
The first trip to Japan with bishop Peter and other brothers was in 2014. The brothers visited Tokyo and stayed 3 days in on the city praying for the direction where to go next. They came to Japan without any contacts or knowing anyone there, but with vision and desire to help the people in Japan. During the prayers at the hotel, God encourages bishop Peter to go there where the tsunami in 2011 caused the most damage and radioactive power-plant exploded after tsunami. The brothers visited Iwaki, where they met a local pastor Akira Mori who was already helping the local communities. That was the beginning of our ministry in Japan.
Our most practical ministry is to support for the local church. An old casino building was purchased and remodeled to serve as a church, missionary housing, coffee shop, book store, and non profit organization office to help with aid in the local community. At this time, the missionaries help maintain the building.
The missionaries have intercession prayers everyday the projects. On Friday, there is a fellowship night for everyone to get together, drink tea, play games, and share testimonies about God. On Saturday, missionaries teach English classes to whoever wants to come and learn. On Sunday, the missionaries cook and serve lunch for everyone that stayed after church. After church gatherings help unite the members together.
Throughout the summer season, the missionaries help at local rice fields of a Buddhist farmer to plant, grow, and harvest rice. In addition, throughout the week they visit the elderly, the people that lost their homes in tsunami and children who need God’s love in their life.
The missionaries also engage in Gospel sharing ministry. They give out invitations for church services, preach the Gospel on the streets with translators, and give out Gospel tracts and bibles. Preaching the Gospel is most effective in one-on-one conversations and by showing the love of Christ. The people in Japan are accepting Jesus as their Savior, being baptized and joining the local church.
Please pray for the people in Japan and partner to support God’s ministry.
